Cassandra Templar is the founder and head of Templar Industries, a major multinational corporation founded with the goal of replicating the power and influence of superheroes on a planet-wide scale, though it has since expanded into dozens of other industries from banking and finance to entertainment. While Ms Templar is not the world's richest person at present, she may be the single most powerful private citizen alive. She's also been an influential force pushing for the right of private entities, especially corporations, to develop and maintain superhero-level capabilities. To this end, she has fostered the Vanguard Program, a secret research initiative dedicated to controlling the creation and development of superpowered individuals.
Through the use of advanced training and technological augmentation, Ms Templar is herself a redoubtable combatant, but she prefers not to get her own hands dirty.
