A former starlet of the Silent Film era, Gloria inherited her family's company, and has done her best to live up to the ideals of the American dream, so much that she took to crime-fighting the corruption infesting the city and shores. Now in the modern times she continues that fight through her work at [[Swanson Enterprises]], as well as continuing her role as the Golden Eagle. Some people question the similarities between her and the Gloria/Eagle of so long ago, but it's brushed off as a passing familial resemblance/or a loving throwback to a simpler time.

Sylvia was the alleged niece (and secret daughter) of wealthy socialite ''Gloria Swanson''—whose alter ego was the famed hero ''Golden Eagle''. As ''Silver Swan,'' Sylvia served as ''Golden Eagle''<nowiki/>'s sidekick and something of a poster child for American superheroes. She wielded fighting skills, weapons, and gadgets.

On her first major mission alongside the ''Allied Angels'', she was captured by Nazis in the small country of '''Urucia''' and was held prisoner by the Nazi's until being rescued by the teen Soviet hero ''Red Star''.

One fateful day in 1946, while Golden Eagle and Silver Swan were busy trying to save Continuum City from the Nefarious Nuclear minded '''Doctor Atomicka''' and her '''Atomic Engine of Eternal Darkness''', the crime fighting darlings disappeared alongside their anti-social adversary!

The Nation mourned the loss of two beloved heroines that gave everything they had to save the city they loved so much! Decades later in aviary constructed at the sight of their disappearance, there was a flash of light, and out of it fell Golden Eagle, Silver Swan, and Doctor Atomicka! The trio had been sent hurtling forward through time! Gadzooks!
